ISD Model

What is your personal assessment of the ISD model? Critique it. Describe the strengths (if any) and weaknesses (if any) of this model? What activities of this model have you used in your experience as an instructor?

The ISD model is a very well thought out model. I think that it is a very strong model. I do think that the analysis portion for reagular teachers will become a same response section of the model. The design part is very important to ensure the lesson is appropriate and workable. The evaluation portion of the model is the most productive part of the model because the designer get to see what worked and what needs improvement.

Since I have been teaching I can honestly say that I have not really thought about the design model like this when I am designing lesson plans for my class. I was basically doing this model, but just unaware of the actual steps I was completed. I do analyse why I am teaching a specific skill or topic. Normally it is because it is required by the NCSCOS. Next, I design a lesson that will teach my students making sure that I have provided different learning strategies to meet the needs of my students' learning styles. After I have completed my lesson with my students, I will sit down and evaluate how the lesson when, what worked and what didn't work.

Defining Instructional Technology

My definition of instructional technology is presenting, teaching and using technology to obtain knowledge and practice skills. it is providing teachers and students with the tools and methods to learn successfully. Instructional technology is the new way of learning in this global world we live in.
