Defining Instructional Technology

My definition of instructional technology is presenting, teaching and using technology to obtain knowledge and practice skills. it is providing teachers and students with the tools and methods to learn successfully. Instructional technology is the new way of learning in this global world we live in.

IT or not it said...

It is short but concise. You say so much in this paragraph.

In Johnston County, it is mentioned in our mission statement that we want all students to be able to compete in a global society. Our students will have careers where they need to be able to function in a global society.

We're definitely on the same page - instructional technology is the new way of learning...I feel that it is the chalk board of the 21st century.

Nice inclusion of the fact that IT provides tools for both the teacher and the student - sometimes we forget to think from both sides.

The global society part was even correct for the actual definition of IT, be it changing or not. We want our students/learners to be able to understand how to think on their own and learn these thinking skills so that they can compete with others in society today and in the future.
